Abstract Background Supraspinatus tendon is a part of the rotator cuff shoulder, partial or full-thickness tear can affect secondary to trauma repeated microtrauma. The aim present study evaluate efficacy platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection in comparison physical therapy for treatment chronic supraspinatus tears. Results At beginning study, there were no significant differences between both groups all parameters: (a) PRP had significantly improved visual analog scale (VAS), disabilities arm, shoulder and hand (DASH) range motion (ROM) but not size at 6 12 weeks post-injection baseline recordings; (b) VAS, DASH ROM nor (c) was superior improvement ROM, score. Conclusion US-guided improving pain, function thickness tendon.

INTRODUCTION Platelets are known for their key role in hemostasis and controlling the bleeding after injury. The fact that platelets secrete growth factors and active metabolites means that their applied use can have a positive influence in clinical situations requiring rapid healing and tissue regeneration. OBJECTIVES Platelet Rich Plasma has been described as a promising but unproven therap...
